Sacramento City College is an open-access, comprehensive community college, serving a diverse student population of more than 20,000 students.

Founded in 1916, Sacramento City College had several locations before settling at the current location on the corner of Freeport and Sutterville in 1926. The 73-acre campus is home to approximately 520,000 square feet of assignable space, and has been undergoing significant renovation over the last two decades as facilities from the 1930s and 1950s require modernization.
