Tutoring & Learning Assistance
Sacramento City College (SCC) offers free tutoring and study skills education to students. Tutors are friendly SCC students who earned high grades and have been recommended by professors. Our goal is to help students learn challenging academic material through both in-person and online tutoring opportunities.
Tutoring and Learning Center

Business and Computer Information Science Labs

Davis Center Tutoring
Tutoring for Math, Chemistry, and Writing (for all disciplines) is available for all SCC students in the Davis LRC (room 215)
Design Lab
The Design Lab is available to students enrolled in Design & Digital Media or Engineering Design Technology courses. (916) 558-2277
Economics: Scholar to Scholar Student Mentoring
We provide tutoring in Writing, Math, Chemistry, Biology, and a variety of other subjects. (916) 650-2782
ELLIS Center (formerly ESL Lab)
The ELLIS Center is the English Language Learner and Immigrant Support Center. We support English as a Second Language (ESL) students to help improve success rate in all classes.
English Lounge
The English Lounge is open to students enrolled in ENGLB 55 (a 0.5-unit, credit/no-credit course). Any student who wants to work on and improve their reading and writing skills may enroll.
Math/Stats Tutoring Lab
We provide tutoring for students taking math and statistics courses at SCC, or needing math/statistics support for other SCC classes. (916) 558-2447
Music Lab
We are available to students seeking equipment or assistance with music coursework. (916) 558-2132
PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) Program
PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) employs peer students as PAL Leaders for specific classes.
RISE Tutoring

The Science & Allied Health Tutoring Center is a drop-in study skills center for students enrolled in Science & Allied Health courses.
West Sacramento Center Tutoring
We offer offers in-person tutoring support for all students in writing, math, and statistics in West Sacramento.
