West Sacramento Center Math Lab

Services

Students can meet with a tutor to:

• talk about their assignment
• prepare for an exam
• learn study skills
• work on anything else related to class

Sessions

We offer the convenience of drop-in sessions for in-person tutoring without requiring prior appointments. For those seeking a more structured approach, students can schedule appointments for both online and in-person tutoring sessions through Penji. Given that sessions operate on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend making appointments in advance to secure your spot.

Make an Appointment

1. Open the Penji webpage or the Penji app.
2. Make sure you are in the “West Sac Math Lab” community.
3. Choose appointment time, location, and the course you are taking.
4. You’ll receive an email notification and a personalized Zoom URL after scheduling your appointment.

More About Penji

The Math Lab uses Penji to schedule appointments and organize tutoring. Penji is available as an app or on the web. Sign up using your wID@apps.losrios.edu email address, and you will be prompted to sign in using your student ID and password. Penji calls the different tutoring options at SCC “ communities ”. The name of our community is SCC|West Sac Math Lab.

Hi everyone, my name is Ivy and I’m thrilled to join the Math Lab team at West Sac Center. With a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UC Davis, my passion for numbers drives me to help others navigate the intricacies of math and statistics. While I also currently work as an Area Manager at Amazon, I’m committed to providing friendly and professional support to make math and statistics more approachable for everyone.
