Los Rios Native Student Celebration is a Los Rios Community College district-wide event that celebrates the accomplishments of students that have earned a certificate and/or degree in the current academic year, and or are transferring to a four year university.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. LittleDove Rey

Dr. LittleDove Rey is an enrolled member of the United Auburn Indian Community Band of Maidu and Miwok Indians, of the Auburn Rancheria, in California. She is dedicated to the continued cultural survivance, health, and holistic wellness of Indigenous peoples, particularly reservation and rural tribal communities in California.

Dr. Rey has her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University and Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She has her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University and her Bachelors degree in Psychology and minor in American Indian Studies from UCLA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Albert G. Titman, Nisenan/Miwok/Maidu/Pit River CADCII. Deputy Director for the Native Dads Network and formerly Associate Director of Cultural Integration and Development at Sprenger behavioral Medicine for the TeleWell Indian Health MAT project. He is a Registered Addiction Specialist through the Breining Institute of CA and a State Board CCAPP Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor CADC II. He also provides alcohol/drug abuse assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups to achieve more satisfying and productive marriage, family, and social adjustment.

Albert enjoys Miwok traditional ceremonial singing and dancing and cooking for his family. He provides culturally sensitive services and is blessed with the opportunity to incorporate Native American wellness modalities in his work. He is currently a trainer for White Bison’s Wellbriety Training Institute, and has over 18 years experience in implementing the Medicine Wheel and 12 Steps program in his community.

Student Speaker

November Rain (She/Her/Hers)

November Rain, named after the Guns N’ Roses song "November Rain," was born here in Sacramento, California. She is a Karuk student at CRC. She is a photographer and has chosen the path of Cultural Photography, inspired by Native Heritage Week and other cultural events on campus. She has completed Associates Degrees in Liberal Arts & Humanities and Photography, as well as certificates in Achievement in Photography and Wedding and Portraiture. She has also been certified in QPR Suicide Prevention.
