The Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Center is one of many cultural engaging centers at SCC. The API guides students who come from similar and diverse East Asian, Pacific Islander, Filipino, Southeast Asian, and South Asian cultural backgrounds in navigating the community college experience. The API Center provides culturally affirming events, workshops, and activities for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to build community, raise awareness and understanding of Asian American and Pacific Islander experiences. We continue to build an inclusive campus that affirms and empowers API students through educational opportunities, support services, and building a sense of belonging. While staying informed of pressing issues impacting the API communities, the API Program works collaboratively to cultivate a welcoming campus culture for API student success.
