2021 Virtual Transfer Week is September 20 to 23

During the 2021 virtual transfer week, students can learn about transferring to more than 50 colleges and universities, including:

  • California State Universities (CSU)
  • Universities of California (UC)
  • Independent and/or private colleges and universities
  • Out-of-state colleges and universities

The virtual sessions will be hosted by university representatives and will provide information regarding the application process, financial aid, programs, and scholarships. All Los Rios students are invited to participate!

Sac State Day – September 20, 2021

Time Workshop
9:00 am to 10:00 am College of Education Teacher Credentialing Programs with a Hmong or Spanish Bilingual Authorization Teaching is a one-of-a-kind profession allowing access to the masses in being able to facilitate the learning of students so they may reach their potential. If you are considering a career in K-12 teaching and have questions on how to earn a teaching credential, the undergraduate Child and Adolescent Development Program (CHAD), a Bilingual Authorization in Hmong or Spanish at Sacramento State, join us to learn the admission process.

Learn more about the financial aid process at Sac State and fiscal awareness/resources that can assist during your time at the four-year.

Learn about the Psychology Department, clubs, organizations, and experiential opportunities within the Psychology program.
10:00 am to 11:00 am ADTs and Our Sac State Transfer Experience
This session will provide participants with a brief overview of the Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT), and the guaranteed benefits of these community college degrees. The Transfer Peer Coaches will also share information about their own Sac State transfer experience. The workshop will feature a presentation and a Q&A session.

11:00 am to 12:00 pm Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Information Session
Transfer students who attend this EOP presentation will be able to learn about the program (mission, admissions eligibility requirements, program services, and important application deadlines for fall 2022).

11:00 am to 12:00 pm Liberal Studies: Liberal Studies (pre-elementary/special education teaching) Major
Find out why the Liberal Studies major at Sac State is the way to go if you are interested in becoming an elementary and/or special education teacher in the future.

The Social Science Program is directed towards the single subject Social Science teacher credential. However, the program also provides an opportunity for students to build on the foundation of their general education and become familiar with several areas in the Social Sciences.

In this session, you will learn more about the transfer admissions process to Sac State. Presenters: Carlos Rubio and Sarah Wood.
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Criminal Justice Impaction
In this session, students will be provided with detailed information on applying to the CRJ program at Sac State.

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Biological Sciences Transfer Information Session
In this presentation, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) Advising Center staff will review the pre-major and major requirements for the Biological Sciences program at Sacramento State, as well as tips, tricks, and recommendations for students intending to transfer in from the Los Rios Community College District.
