Professional development workshop

Facilitated by: Joshua Moon-Johnson, Dean of Student Services, Library, & Learning Resources and Title IX Coordinator; Laura Swartzen, WEAVE

This workshop will help participants understand sex and gender-based violence, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment, and stalking. The interactive workshop will share patterns, ways to prevent, and how to support and report. Attendees will: Understand how sexism, cisgenderism, and heterosexism impact the classroom, workplace, and community. Gain an understanding of how to recognize sex and gender-based mistreatment and violence. Obtain skills to support someone who experienced mistreatment or violence. Understand reporting and referral resources at American River College.
