A student will have the opportunity to earn three different levels of certification.
Level 1 Certificate
Students achieving a Chemical Tech Level 1 Certificate will be able to apply basic chemistry principles and laboratory skills needed to safely work in a commercial chemical lab with direct supervision.
ChemTech Program Sequence - Level 1 Certificate - Pathway 1
Beginning Chemical Technician Certificate for students pursuing only a Chemical Technology certificate [16.5 to 24 Units].
ChemTech Program Sequence - Level 1 Certificate - Pathway 2
Beginning Chemical Technician Certificate for students pursuing an A.S. degree in Chemistry [10 to 11 Units].
Level 2 Certificate
ChemTech Program Sequence - Level 2 Certificate
Students achieving a Chemical Tech Level 2 Certificate will be able to apply fundamental chemical knowledge and laboratory skills including basic error analysis and appropriate safety procedures to work safely and effectively in a chemical lab with limited supervision. [15.5 to 21 Units]
Level 3 Certificate
ChemTech Program Sequence - Level 3 Certificate
Students achieving a Chemical Tech Level 3 Certificate will be able to apply quantitative analytical methods and safely operate common analytical instruments in a chemical laboratory setting with minimal supervision. [Certificate 2 + 19 Units = 54 Units]
