Cardiovascular Technologist Program Details
New CVT Program to begin Spring 2027
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Certificate Program is new to the Los Rios Community College District.
Application scheduled to open this Fall
CVT program expects to open the FIRST application period between October 1st and October 31st. 12 Lucky students will be accepted via Lottery system.
Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) is a highly technical allied health profession that provides an excellent career with the opportunity to provide specialized care to patients with cardiovascular disease.
A Cardiovascular Technologist is a health care professional who, at the direction of a licensed physician, performs diagnostic tests which are used in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular Technology is a title used to describe three basic areas of expertise: Invasive Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Non-invasive Vascular Technology.
CVT Information Meetings

SCC will be hosting its first ever information meeting on location at the Davis Center. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore the Davis Center's new CVT state-of-the-art lab facility and speak to professors about this exciting new program. Interested parties have the option to attend in person or virtually.

Prospective students need to fill out the Request to Attend an Informational Meeting to get an access code for the meeting. Please complete the form by 5:00 pm one day prior to the meeting in order to receive an email with the access code for the meeting.
