The Career Center contains information on careers-either to explore possible career directions or gather further information on a particular job or career. To help a student find information about various careers, there are resource books containing job/career information. Career guidance computer software programs are available to assist with self assessment, learning about the World-of-Work, gathering information about specific careers, necessary training, resume/cover letter writing, understanding personality types, determining skills, and finding a major. Workshops are offered during the year on Career Center resources, resume writing, interviewing and job search. There is a career fair the last Wednesday of April where over 100 employers are available and accessible to all students. For students with disabilities who need assistance to use our services, we work in cooperation with the Disability Resource Center
and the Workability Program.
