System Access and Stability Issues
As you may already know, additional problems have occurred in the infrastructure which have affected the service level of both Desire2Learn (D2L) and Blackboard (Bb).
The problem is with the storage devices for about half of the web servers. Therefore, not all students and faculty are affected, but those on the failing web servers were dropped or not able to connect. None of the problems were caused by either the D2L or Bb software. All of the course content, databases, and student work in the database are intact without problems.
District IT staff are working to correct the problems, as well as to prevent the failing storage from reducing service in the future. We again apologize for the disruption.
