Educational Goals offered at SCC

 

One of the federal requirements to receive financial aid funds is that a person must be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program.  A regular student is someone who is enrolled for the purpose of obtaining a degree or certificate offered by the institution.

A regular student with Sacramento City College must have one of the following  eligible educational goals to be considered for financial aid funds:  

A.      Transfer to a 4-Year Institution after AA/AS Degree

B.     Transfer to a 4-Year Institution without AA/AS Degree

C.     Earn AA/AS Degree without Transfer

D.     Earn a Vocational Degree without Transfer

E.     Earn a Vocational Certificate (Student is required to select an eligible certificate program)

 

The following educational goals are NOT ELIGIBLE for financial aid funds:  

F.      Discover Career Interests

G     Acquire New Job Skills, Only

H.     Upgrade Job Skills, Only

I.     Maintain Certificate/License (e.g., Nursing, Real Estate, etc.)

J.     Educational Development (e.g., Intellectual, Cultural)

K.      Improve Basic Skills

L.     Complete High School/GED

M.     Undecided on Goal  

O.   Four-yr student mtg 4-yr reqs
