Dates and Deadlines
Cal Grants
Apply no later than March 2 by submitting both the FAFSA and a verified GPA form to California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).
September 2 - is the deadline for a second Cal Grant opportunity. This is for California Community College students only. CSAC must receive your completed GPA Verification form and you must have filed the FAFSA.
FAFSA
January 1 begins the processing cycle for the next school year's FAFSA. Apply early!
March 2 is the priority filing date for all new and continuing students.
Loans
Loan applications submission deadline to the Financial Aid Office:
Certification for 2007-2008 school year:
If you are attending Fall Only, you must submit your application by - December
7, 2007
If you are attending Fall and Spring, you must submit your application by - May
9, 2008

SCC Final Deadline for the school year
To be considered for financial aid at SCC:
2007-2008 FAFSA must be mailed to processor by May
11, 2008 and all documentation must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by May
21, 2008 or the last day of school; whichever comes first.
2008-2009 FAFSA must be mailed to processor by May
16, 2009 and all documentation must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by May
23, 2009 or the last day of school; whichever comes first.
SCC's Financial Aid Pell Disbursement Dates
All grant checks are mailed to the "Mailing Address" supplied by the Admissions Office. You are responsible for keeping your "Mailing Address" current at all times. Checks are not delivered to forwarding addresses. Financial Aid Office will attempt to contact students only one time if check (s) have been returned for them to pick-up. Returned checks will be cancelled two weeks from the issued date if not picked up.
After
November 2, 2007, financial aid will not be recalculated
for enrollment status changes and no additional
financial aid funds will be issued for Fall 2007.
