CARE

Cooperative Agencies Resource for Education (CARE) is a special program for EOPS students who are single parents, head of household, and receiving public assistance from CalWORKS or TANF.

CARE Services

Students in CARE are eligible to receive additional services, including:

  • Academic, Career, and Personal counseling
  • Priority enrollment
  • College supplies
  • Workshops
  • Educational grant

CARE Eligibility

To be eligible for CARE you must:

  • Meet all EOPS eligibility requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be receiving CalWorks/ TANF benefits or at least one of your minor children must still receive benefits
  • Be determined by the county welfare department as “single head of household”
  • Pursue a job training program that leads to a certificate, degree or transfer
